Floating-type cubic fiber media is a stable synthetic material made of polypropylene (PP), specifically developed to remove pollutants and turbidity in water. Its highly porous structure provides excellent durability and enables regeneration through repeated washing.
CFM TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
1. Material: - Polypropylene (PP-PE) - Heat-resistant and chemically stable - Lightweight: specific gravity 0.85–0.9 - Media weight: 70 kg/m³ (sand: 2200 kg)
2. Production Process - Yarn blending and thermal fusion (web formation) - Porosity: minimum 92% - Durability: replacement cycle ≥ 2 years - Reusable: up to 3,000 washing cycles
3. Shape - Cubic form (cube-shaped) - Easy backwashing - Reduces washing time and water consumption - Easy installation in various filtration systems
4. Operational Performance - Porosity: minimum 92% - Capture capacity: 10–15 kg/m³ - Open-flow operation: LV 70 m/h (high-speed filtration) - Suitable for clean water treatment systems
Fiber Filter Structure and Mechanisme
1. Particle capture and filtration are achieved through a high porosity structure 92%. By forming an open-flow system, high-speed filtration with upward flow (LV 70 m/h) is possible without pressure loss.
2. Cubic-shaped media allows easy filling into the agitation and washing system, with sizes of 5×5×3.5 mm and 7×7×3.5 mm.
3. Polyolefin-based resin fibers are processed using a heat fusion method to form sheets with enhanced durability, enabling more than 3,000 washing cycles without pore deformation.
